Flight #19 leaves Columbia’s Courtyard Marriott at 1 AM on Tuesday, July 3. After a day-long trip to Washington, DC, to visit the memorials dedicated to their service, the Honor Flight rolls into the parking lot of the Courtyard Marriott at 12:50 AM on Wednesday, July 4!

Central Missouri Honor Flight, an all-volunteer organization that began in 2009, has safely flown 1,021 mid-Missouri veterans to see their war memorials in our nation’s capital. But time is running out to express our thanks to these brave men and women. Now is the time to say “thank you.”

The homecoming at the Courtyard Marriott has become a highlight for the Honor Flight veterans. Seeing members of the general public waiting to greet them in the middle of the night brings smiles to their faces and tears to their eyes. And, since July 4 is a holiday allowing families to sleep in that morning, what better time to be a part of history as our heroes enjoy the homecoming they should have received nearly 70 years ago!

The Courtyard Marriott is located at 3301 Lemone Industrial Drive, Columbia.
