The mission of Central Missouri Honor Flight is to transport America's veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.
We are a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. The group transports our heroes to Washington, D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to senior veterans - WWII survivors, along with other veterans who may be terminally ill.
Of all the wars in recent memory, it was WWII that truly threatened our very existence as a nation and free society. Now, with more than 1,000 WWII veterans dying each day (20 each day in Missouri), time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out.
Central Missouri Honor Flight will do whatever it takes to fulfill the dreams of our veterans and help them travel at no cost. Subsequent to the WWII veterans, our efforts will turn to our Korean War veterans.
Quotes from veterans and family who have taken an HONOR FLIGHT"My parents have been married for 67 years. On Tuesday night my mom was able to greet"dad"" getting off the bus and coming home from the war. This meant a lot to her. They were married for only six weeks when he was sent off to war."

Seven-year old Oliver Cardwell's summer lemonade stand is making a big difference in the lives of Jefferson City veterans this summer.
With temperatures near 100 degrees Saturday, U.S. Veterans and other locals all showed up to cool off with a cup of Oliver's famous lemonade.
Oliver's grandparents are part of the Missouri Riders, the honor flight's motorcycle escorts, and helped spread the word about the lemonade stand.
Oliver has raised 653 dollars to date, enough to send two veterans to the memorial in Washington D.C

How You Can Help
Your donations will help transport veterans to visit THEIR memorials. World War II veterans waited patiently for more than 60 years for a memorial that recognizes their service. Trips are simply not possible without public support. Prior to Honor Flight, out veterans had given up all hope of ever seeing the WWII memorial. Now they have hope, but time is not on our side.
The time to act is now. A contribution of $300 sponsors one veteran on the Honor Flight. Contributions of any amount are welcome and appreciated.
Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Honor Flight does not accept contributions from WWII veterans, who have already given enough to service our nation.
